When A Crumpet...- A tribute to James Krüss (poem)

A variation on a topic by German poet James Krüss (1926-1997). The original poem is called "Wenn die Möpse Schnäpse trinken...".

When a crumpet comes to visit Doctor Farkas

When two lions build a hotel in a beavers carcass

When the chairman of a merman plays the red trombone

When a pug sits on his rug and drinks alone

When the spillage of a village boils the cabbage loudly

When a trilby shows Miss Millby how to ravage proudly

When the supervisor crows and kills a bat

When an advertiser blows his nose and drills a sett

When a llama stirs some drama up in Malibu

When an iguana imitates a deer and shouts "O-hoo!"

When the church is in the lurch and will insult a pickle

When the goose turns to the moose because the waltz is fickle

When two tiny pence go prancing on a fence

Then I have written a poem

But it doesn't make sense
